These strategies are highly effective, but they are not often used in traditional Spanish classes. Our Integrative Approach

OWL

Organic World Language teaches language proficiency through activities and interactions that mirror those of real life. This enables students to gain language proficiency in the same way that native speakers do, allowing them to learn skills in context and be seamlessly prepared for real life conversations.

TPRS

Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling: This approach helps students build language proficiency through written and spoken stories. Rather than individual words and skills being taught in isolation, students are exposed to these concepts in memorable, naturally-occurring ways.

TPR

Total Physical Response: This method is a kinesthetic approach that harnesses the power of repetition and takes advantage of the brain-body connection. This technique encourages movement which bolsters engagement and aids in vocabulary acquisition through repetition and muscle memory.

Task-Based Teaching

Rather than being taught in isolation, vocabulary and grammar concepts are learned, practiced, and applied through a variety of tasks that mirror those of real-life. This not only provides unique opportunities for language-learning, but it also helps students build valuable skills that will benefit them all throughout life.

Personalized Content

Lessons are personalized to meet each student's unique academic needs and personal interests. Lessons can be designed to include content related to hobbies and subjects that students are interested in.
